Boys' First Game This Season

The boys are having their first game this Saturday. It will be agaist the only team they lost last season and the memory is fresh, the wound is still fresh and the smell of sweat and blood is fresh in the air...... anyways.

I am happy for the boys. They have been training hard for a long time and like the chance to measure themself agaist their peers. From my point of view, I am so happy to see them grow into little guys, some of the boys is still in them, but the teenager is coming out.

Well, I will recap after Saturday with some highlights.

6 min Mile

I surprise myself yesterday when I was not paying attention and simply pushing myself and ran 1 mile in the trend mill in 6:13. Today, I payed more attention and ran the mile in the mill in 6:00.

I know it is insignificant, but I am surprise that this old and out of shape guy still had a little juice in him. I will continue to get my muscle/joins stronger and out it to the pavement test.

Soccer Diary

Today I played two games. First with the Stars, won lot to 1 (like 7 to 1), played mostly defence and middle. second game was with the Big Stampede. Tied 2 to 2. They score one cheese girl goal and Steph score a good goal from the middle in the box. It was a good team effort.

I am not satisfied with my performance. I think that I held back and did not hustle enough. I have been plagued in the last few weeks with painful but non-serious injuries in the last few weeks and I think this is getting to my head and I am making excuses for myself. This must stop!!!

Next game, I have to get in to a warrior mode and be hungry for the game or help me G-d, I will kick my own butt until the next Chinese year.

Like a virgin

I step in the world of bloggers. like a deer looking in the headlights of an incoming U-Haul truck, I don't know what to do, and I freeze.

My life is not interesting enough to be worthy of a daily blog, so I will try to update it as life happens.

Today:
-The boys held a practice and try a drill at passing. I did not know that passing a 10 inch thru a 5 feet space from 10 or 15 or 20 feet was so complicated.

-Later came home and did my home duties. Changed diapers, do laundry, make the babies take naps.

- In the evening, I played a little soccer with the boys around the house. Like an old man, I hurt my foot. I will be OK tomorrow but it was stupid.

That is all folks.
